I realize that not everyone loves CrossFit like I do – my girlfriend Meghan aka Bada-Bing reminds me daily. However, there is a level of commitment needed to be a CrossFitter. You cannot show up 1 day a week and honestly believe that you’re going to get into shape using CrossFit. That’s akin to saying you want to be a great skater and showing up once a week to practice. It’s not going to happen. You can’t just show up randomly, here and there, and expect to get stronger, faster, better. It’s just not possible. “You’re in or you’re out”. Commit or just admit this is not going to work. Sometimes life just gets in the way and you can’t commit to CrossFit. I understand that. But be honest with yourself. If you know you are not committed, then admit it. You have to be here at least 3 x a week, unless you are playing another sport. Even then, 3x a week is not too much time to commit (unless you’re playing 3-4 times a week – but think about the sport. Hockey is much more intense than softball.) If you expect to make improvements, you really need to be here 3-5 times a week. I have several athletes that are here 3-4 days a week and they are kicking ass – they go all out, they are committed and they show up. It shows in their workouts.
You’re in or you’re out.
